Oct. 2-4: The International Wizard of Oz Club invites you to join us in Kansas. We've partnered with K-State University's English Department and the Oz Museum in nearby Wamego, Kan., to fill a weekend with presenters and programming to mark the 70th anniversary of the MGM classic. Margaret Hamilton's son Ham Meserve heads our Wonderful Witches of Oz program Friday night, followed by a "Recreating Oz" conference on campus; it concludes with Oz Marvel Comic creators Scottie Young and Eric Shanower. Spend Sunday at Oztoberfest with the Munchkins, Baum descendents, Oz writers and collectors. Click Oz Club Events on the home page at www.OzClub.org for more information.

October 3-4: Autumn in Oz in Banner Elk, North Carolina, marks its 15th anniversary this year. The private garden of Oz starts with a tour of Aunt Em's and Uncle Henry's farm. Meet Dorothy and friends along the Yellow Brick Road. There will be a mini-museum to visit and artifacts to share. Live music, magic shows with Peter McTavish and a small petting zoo, add more fun at the Farm.

November 7-8: The Hollywood Boulevard Cinema in Woodridge, Ill., welcomes fans to its annual showing of the famous film version of The Wizard of Oz.
