In this issue:
The Spring 2012 issue of the Baum Bugle includes features on “Education and Oz,” with articles on the use of Oz books in the classroom, philosophical lessons in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and a vintage Oz-themed yearbook. An interview with Wicked author Gregory Maguire is paired with a memoir from a cast member of the stage musical adaptation, and we share a discovery of artwork surprisingly similar to that by Frederick Richardson for Baum’s Queen Zixi of Ix and the discovery and reprint of a long-lost short story by L. Frank Baum from 1898. Book and theater reviews and a memorial to Patrick Maund round out the issue.
This issue was mailed to members in May 2012.
