DESCRIPTION:Everybody look around\, there’s reason to rejoice! The Tony Award®-winning Best Musical that took the world by storm is back.\nConjuring up an Oz unlike anything ever seen before\, the creative team behind the 2025 touring production of THE WIZ is helmed by director Schele Williams (The Notebook\, revival of Disney’s Aida) and includes choreographer JaQuel Knight (Beyonce’s “Single Ladies”)\, William F. Brown (book)\, Charlie Smalls (music & lyrics)\, Amber Ruffin (additional material)\, Joseph Joubert (music supervision\, orchestrations\, & music arrangements)\, Allen René Louis (vocal & music arrangements)\, Adam Blackstone and Terence Vaughn (dance music arrangements)\, and Paul Byssainthe Jr. (music direction).  They are joined by Academy Award® winner Hannah Beachler (scenic design)\, two-time Academy Award® nominee Sharen Davis (costumes)\, Emmy® and Barrymore Award winner Ryan J. SUMMARY:Oz\, the National Convention 2025: Aberdeen\, SD
DESCRIPTION:Join members of the International Wizard of Oz Club as we gather in Aberdeen\, South Dakota\, to explore the city L. Frank Baum once called home. From our opening reception Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon you can expect exhibits\, presentations\, performances\, meals and more. We’ll visit sites tied to Baum’s years in Aberdeen\, join the community’s Storybook Festival\, and follow the Yellow Brick Road in Wylie Park. The K.O. Lee Public Library\, home to an impressive L. Frank Baum Collection\, will be our home base for the weekend with presentations held in their auditorium. Thursdays opening reception and Friday and Saturday dinners/evening programming will be held at the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center\, just across the street from the library. \nFor more details follow our blogs here at OzClub.org.
