DESCRIPTION:L. Frank Baum’s fourth Oz novel\, Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz\, has been adapted as a radio play by Pete Fernbaugh as part of Cloak and Dagger on the Air’s 9th season. Saturday\, Sept. 12\, The Wayward Saints will perform the original program at the Top of West Virginia as they livestream it on their Facebook page. If you’re able\, join the audience in Weirton\, West Virginia\, for the 4pm (Eastern) performance\, or if you’re on Facebook watch it live.\n\nThe cast includes Anacelia Parissi as Dorothy\, and John E. Reilly as the Wizard. Follow their perilous journey back to Oz through the underground worlds of the Vegetable Kingdom and the Country of the Gargoyles. It’s a thrill-packed\, non-stop adventure journey\, perfect for all ages.\n\n\n\nOriginal music is by Roberta Pedoush; arrive early to hear R.J. Gaudio perform a set of American favorites at 3:30 before he appears as L. Frank Baum to open the show.\n\nWhile admission to the performance is free\, donations are appreciated.

DESCRIPTION:Set a decade after Dorothy’s defeat of the Wicked Witch of the West and her subsequent departure\, The Hope of Oz brings us to a newly invigorated Capital where the Wizard’s power has grown immensely with constant systematic oppression on his denizens and waging a drug-fueled war with the new cadre of Witches that brings its citizens to their knees. The story follows Gale\, an investigative “Witch-hunter\,” on the trail of East’s assassination. Trapped in a bar with a synthetic (known as mimics)\, surrounded by encroaching revolutionaries\, Witches\, and the Wizard’s ever watchful eyes\, Gale must survive the night if Oz will see its dawn. But in an empire of extremes\, who can survive? \n$10 tickets are described on the website as “lawn chair rental\,” indicating this is an outdoor performance.
