DESCRIPTION:The Brandywiners Ltd.\, stage the Wizard of Oz on the Long wood Gardens Open Air Theatre stage in Kennett Square\, Pennsylvania\, July 27-30 at 8 pm. \nTickets are now available for The Wizard of Oz. L. Frank Baum’s classic novel comes to life on the Longwood Gardens Open Air Theatre stage and features all the most beloved songs and moments from the 1939 classic film. \nYoung Dorothy Gale is swept away by a tornado from her Kansas farm to the magical land of Oz.  There\, she encounters a host of whimsical characters: good witches\, bad witches\, animals that talk\, scarecrows that walk\, and things magical to behold.  To find her way home\, she must journey along the Yellow Brick Road to see the mysterious and all-powerful Wizard of Oz in Emerald City.  Along the way\, she makes new friends\, but must also brave many dangers\, including the Wicked Witch of the West\, who will stop at nothing to get her hands on Dorothy’s magical ruby slippers. \nTo make it home safely\, Dorothy must learn an important lesson: there’s no place like home.The Wizard of Oz is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC. \nFor tickets and information\, visit www.LongwoodGardens.org or call (610) 388-1000.

SUMMARY:Bacchus House summer Oz theme in Folsom\, CA
DESCRIPTION:A tribute exhibit to Wizard of Oz made of memorabilia and nostalgia is on display this summer at the Bacchus House in Folsom\, California. The public can enjoy this celebration of Oz from June 25 20 August 31 during business hours. \nIn addition\, two five-course wine-paired dinners will be held to raise money for Shriners Children’s Northern California. Both dinners also will include a silent auction\, live music\, and champagne receptions. These dinners are scheduled at 6:30 July 14 and August 11. See their website for details. \nBacchus House hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11:30-2 p.m. (lunch). 4-6 p.m. (happy hour)\, 4-9 p.m. (dinner)\, Sunday 4-6 pm. They are closed Mondays.

DESCRIPTION:The Judy Garland Museum and community of Grand Rapids\, Minnesota\, will celebrate the 100th birthday of Judy Garland on June 9-12. This year’s annual festival offers events all over town. Visit the Judy Garland Museum and the home where the family lived when she was born. Take a bus tour of the community to see sites associated with the family’s time in Grand Rapids. Judy’s son Joey Luft will greet fans at the museum Saturday afternoon. Events include a dinner\, a free film screening of The Wizard of Oz\, and an “Easter Parade” High Tea Party. Garland biographer and authority John Fricke will be presenting throughout the weekend.
