DESCRIPTION:The annual Oz-Stravaganza Festival in Chittenango\, New York\, the birthplace of Oz author L. Frank Baum\, is the largest and longest-running Wizard of Oz-themed festival. This year’s special guests include Betty Ann Ka’Ihilani Bruno (The Munchkin Diary/My Own Yellow Brick Road) who was a member of the cast of Munchkinland in the classic MGM film\, Gabriel Gale (The Art of Oz: Witches\, Wizards\, and Wonders Beyond the Yellow Brick Road\, Ages of Oz) and Oz-Stravaganza’s own emcee\, author and Oz historian John Fricke. Enjoy presentations\, entertainment\, vendors\, rides and more. Friday night fireworks\, the 45th Annual Oz-Stravaganza! DESCRIPTION:The Judy Garland Museum and community of Grand Rapids\, Minnesota\, will celebrate the 100th birthday of Judy Garland on June 9-12. This year’s annual festival offers events all over town. Visit the Judy Garland Museum and the home where the family lived when she was born. Take a bus tour of the community to see sites associated with the family’s time in Grand Rapids. Judy’s son Joey Luft will greet fans at the museum Saturday afternoon. Events include a dinner\, a free film screening of The Wizard of Oz\, and an “Easter Parade” High Tea Party. Garland biographer and authority John Fricke will be presenting throughout the weekend.

Debuting at the June 10 release party of the highly anticipated JUDY: A GARLAND FRAGRANCE attended by Judy’s three children Liza Minnelli\, Lorna Luft\, and Joey Luft\, this special exhibition pays tribute to Garland’s unparalleled career\, with original screen-worn costumes\, posters\, and ephemera.\n\n\nThe exhibit will be open to the public from 9 am to noon June 11-12 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles — where in 1934 Judy Garland was discovered by MGM producer George Sidney.

SUMMARY:Bacchus House summer Oz theme in Folsom\, CA
DESCRIPTION:A tribute exhibit to Wizard of Oz made of memorabilia and nostalgia is on display this summer at the Bacchus House in Folsom\, California. The public can enjoy this celebration of Oz from June 25 20 August 31 during business hours. \nIn addition\, two five-course wine-paired dinners will be held to raise money for Shriners Children’s Northern California. Both dinners also will include a silent auction\, live music\, and champagne receptions. These dinners are scheduled at 6:30 July 14 and August 11. See their website for details. \nBacchus House hours are Tuesday-Saturday 11:30-2 p.m. (lunch). 4-6 p.m. (happy hour)\, 4-9 p.m. (dinner)\, Sunday 4-6 pm. They are closed Mondays.
