Jim Vander Noot
Jim Vander Noot has been an International Wizard of Oz Club member since 1983. He was quick to get involved as a volunteer, and his efforts have made a significant impact on the Club.
From 1985 to 1993 Jim assisted in organizing the Club’s auctions and keeping auction records, developing a computerized application for recording and balancing the auction sales. He attended all three major conventions as well as the Quadling Convention, and participated in programs at all of them. Jim co-chaired the 1998 Munchkin Convention with Chris Sterling, and hosted the Wheel-Oz-Fortune game as part of the program. In 1992 he chaired the Ozmopolitan Convention.
For several years, Jim handled the distribution of Bibliographia Oziana, Who’s Who in Oz, and other publications out of his home, and later assisted with coordinating orders and membership. He has served on the Board of Directors, and held the position of treasurer from 1993 to 1994.
Jim has written original Oz stories for Oziana and articles, convention reports, quizzes, and reviews for The Baum Bugle. In 1995 he proposed and developed the first Oz Club website.
