I like both Mimics and Shaggy Man, but I think Snow’s best book is Who’s Who in Oz because it has a sense of humor that his novels lack. He seems more relaxed as a writer and his enjoyment shines through, whereas in Mimics and Shaggy I wonder if the huge responsibility he felt weighed down his prose.-
I have a soft spot for SHAGGY MAN, as that was the first Snow title I ever read.-
