The annual Judy Garland festival in her birthplace, Grand Rapids, Minnesota, returns with John Kelsch, the museum’s curator leading tours, and John Fricke, Judy Garland author and authority as emcee. The festival promises tours, talks, films and fun for Judy fans of all ages.
A meet & greet with Judy’s son Joe Luft will be offered on Friday, and her granddaughter Vanessa O’Neil speaks with the crowd on live streaming video Saturday.
Artists, light shows, bounce houses… and this year a Guiness World Record featuring “Most people in wheelchairs doing a choreographed dance” accompanied by Itasca Orchestra playing “Over the Rainbow.”
Individual events are ticketed, or you can purchase a full festival pass for $200 on the website. Museum members get discounts!
