John Fricke provides a significant expansion to his review of magazine and newspaper articles, reviews, advertising, and publicity, plus studio publicity, both at the time of the film’s original release in 1939 and in the many years hence. His section on books examining the film is greatly expanded, and for the first time, he lists television broadcasts and theatrical adaptations.
