Oz in Japan: Update
Seraphim Sigrist builds upon the checklist in the Spring 1979 issue to incorporate twenty-nine new Japanese editions of The Wizard of Oz, as well as additions to the Hayakawa Oz series. Illustrated with examples from the books. A further update would be published in the Spring 1995 issue.
Was this the Wizard Who was the Wizard of Oz?
Sonia Brown examines the possibility that the Wizard is based on master magician Harry Kellar, who was well-known in Baum’s time. Illustrated with posters of Kellar’s stage act.
Ethnic Stereotypes in Baum’s Books for Children
Francis P. Randall critiques the use of ethnic stereotypes for humorous purposes in Baum’s works, especially focusing on Father Goose: His Book and The Woggle-Bug Book. Illustrated with examples. The article later inspired spirited debate between Michael Patrick Hearn and the author in the Winter 1984 issue.

Douglas G. Greene provides bibliographical data about two Baum titles that were not published in book form until the mid-20th century.
