The 2023 corn maze officially Saturday, September 2nd at 10 am with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Corn Maze and Cider Donut Festival serves as the opening event Sept. 2-3. Learn more about the festival here.
The 2023 Lyman Orchards Corn Maze transports you into the Land of Oz, revisiting the classic 1900 American fairytale book of a young girl named Dorothy and her adventures in a magical land where she meets new friends and powerful witches. In the maze, you’ll learn how “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” story came to be, how it has influenced pop culture, and you’ll even learn about the history of other popular fairytales!
The maze is approximately 4 acres in size with over a mile of pathways. The average time to make it through the maze is approximately 30-40 minutes. Signage throughout the pathways features educational content and trivia related to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, fairy tales, pop culture, and some relevant historical events as well.
Admission is $11 for adults, $6 for ages 4 – 12, and free for children under 3 years. One dollar of each maze admission will be donated to support the American Cancer Society. In addition, $.50 of each admission fee will be donated to the Connecticut Cancer Foundation. The maze is open 1 pm-5:30 pm Monday-Friday and 10 am-5:30 pm on Weekends and Holidays. The last maze entry is 5:30 pm. The maze is in its 24th year of operation; It has raised more than $730,000 for the American Cancer Society and $54,287 for the Connecticut Cancer Foundation.
