New Oz horror film in theaters for Feb. 11 event

Gale: Yellow Brick Road will open in theaters across the US for one night Feb. 11 through Fathom Entertainment. This PG-13 indie horror fantasy is a “haunting reimagining of L. Frank Baum‘s original Oz novels.”
Screenings will be accompanied by a five-minute making-of featurette exploring the reimagined Oz and its characters—some of whom have never appeared in live-action before—along with behind-the-scenes footage of the cast transforming into their roles.
Promotional materials describes it as “dark, atmospheric, and emotionally charged, Gale: Yellow Brick Road fuses psychological horror with mythic fantasy, charting a harrowing descent into madness, memory, and the shattered remnants of a road once paved in yellow bricks.”
“Horror and fantasy remain amongst the most popular genre of Fathom theatrical engagements and moviegoers nationwide, and Gale: Yellow Brick Road caters to both sets of fans in a big way,” said Fathom CEO Ray Nutt. “Dark, disturbing and eerily compelling, Gale: Yellow Brick Road is a unique and compelling moviegoing experience fans will want to catch.”
Ticket sales for all locations went sale on January 8 at Fathom Entertainment and participating theater box offices. Times and prices vary.
