The Oz Club auction has a long and storied history. Since our first conventions in the 1960s, simply offering an auction drew members to attend; most of us are avid collectors.
Word of mouth spread and Club auctions soon became a great way to enrich our collections. The relatively small audience helped keep prices low. At the same time, nearly everything sold was donated, so the annual auction served as a fundraiser for our 501c3 non-profit group.
Not much has changed!
We are making exceptions this year to offer only a “silent” auction so we don’t have to suspend programming. Starting Saturday morning in the Oz Club’s breakout room, bids will be taken through 1 o’clock. That should give anyone interested time to come see what’s available.
We also plan to forego bidder numbers this year and simply use names so that TeslaCon regulars can bid without having to be added to our database. For payments cash is always accepted. Winners also can use PayPal to send payment to our email address.
